New Compact Li-ion SDS From Panasonic

Following the recent addition of a 28.8v SDS Hammer to their Li-ion cordless range, Panasonic Consumer Electronics UK is pleased to announce the forthcoming lauch of a new lightweight 14.4v SDS Drill & Driver to their line-up.

Using much of the same technology developed for the larger unit the EY7840LN2S features a 'T handle' design making it very easy to operate and manoeuvre. It also features a safety clutch and torque setting facility like a conventional drill/driver enabling the user to have full control when tightening fasteners.

Weighing just 2.3Kg, this compact unit still packs enough punch to tackle concrete drilling up to a maximum capacity of 16.5mm diameter. Having over 2 joules of impact energy it makes light work of jobs where precussion drilling can test a cordless drill to its limit.

As with the larger EY7880 it features a strong, 'built-up' motor and fully dust proofed switchgear. The hammer can be disengaged to allow standard rotary drilling and screw driving utilising the SDS to 1/4" Hex adaptor that is included in the package. Other handy features are the LED job light and shoulder strap allowing the user to move freely when climbing ladders.

As with the rest of the Panasonic 14.4v Li-ion range, it comes with 2 x 3.0Ah Cobalt Li-ion, NiMh and NiCd batteries and a robust carry case.
