Independent dealers and distributors form a key part of the consumables market, serving customers on a local or regional basis. THS Tools Group was formed in 1975 to assist this important group of distributors to develop and grow their businesses through lower costs and the added benefits that a buying group can offer. By selecting to work collaboratively with key brand leaders and manufacturers, THS provides suppliers with access, via its Members, to a customer base that they may otherwise find difficult to address.
30 years on, the THS membership consists of a network of over 130 independent distribution outlets chosen to represent key coverage in the UK – varying in size from family owned companies to larger regional businesses. For most suppliers, independent distributors are difficult to trade with on an individual basis. Given the range of commercial activities involved in a supply chain relationship, from product and price negotiation through to managing the invoicing and payment processes, THS suppliers benefit with increased turnover and resultant business expansion.
